Fertilisers for Farms
Decentralized nitrogen production protects food systems from price shocks and import disruption.
A DTU Spinout · Copenhagen
The Sorption Booster is the patent-pending extraction technology that makes decentralized green ammonia plants economically viable - chemistry, not pressure, not cold.
Three crises, one solution
Ammonia sits at the intersection of three of the century's defining problems. Solving its production sustainably is not a niche play - it's a structural one.
Ammonia-based fertilisers support the food supply of roughly half the world's population. Nitrogen is not optional, and neither is producing it cleanly.
Ammonia carries about 50% more hydrogen per litre than liquid hydrogen, and ships through infrastructure that already exists.
Ammonia production emits around 450 million tonnes of CO₂ a year - more than the United Kingdom's entire annual emissions. Green ammonia is how that number comes down.
The missing piece
Cheap renewable electricity. Mature electrolysers. Proven Haber-Bosch. Yet decentralized green ammonia still doesn't pencil - because pulling the ammonia out of the loop at sub-100-TPD scale collapses on cryogenic economics.
That's the bottleneck. That's what we solve.
The Sorption Booster
Our staged sorption cycle captures ammonia at moderate pressure and temperature - slashing CAPEX and OPEX while pushing extraction efficiency past 99% in a single pass.

Applications

Decentralized nitrogen production protects food systems from price shocks and import disruption.

Converting surplus power to ammonia at the co-located park yields a 3-5× value premium per MWh

Extending Green Hydrogen plant to Green Ammonia plant provides a ready offtake and a better ROI business case

Sorption Booster technology removes trace ammonia from cracked hydrogen, ensuring fuel-cell-grade purity for sensitive applications

Sub-100-TPD plants at ports finally make ammonia bunkering capex-defensible for shipping lines.
